Strategy beats timing (a career workshop for financial services)

The Elevare Edge · Issue 21 · August 19, 2026

The financial services job market right now is loud. Layoffs. Noise. A hundred people applying to the same role.

Here's what I keep telling clients: when the market is crowded, clarity is the advantage. Not more credentials. Not more polish. Clarity about what you actually solve and who needs it.

I'm hosting a live session with the Financial Women's Association on exactly this, on September 24th from 6 to 8pm ET (virtual). This isn't a lecture. It's a working session, and you'll leave with things you actually made, not just tips you'll forget by Friday.

You'll work through:

Your brand. Most people skip the hard questions about how they present themselves, then wonder why their pitch feels generic.

Your LinkedIn. We'll run a live headline challenge in small groups, so you walk out with a rewritten headline, not just advice on writing one.

Your resume. Stop listing duties. Start proving impact. Early in my career I led a project that cut manual processing time by more than four hours per account. That's the kind of specific, quantified result I'll show you how to put on your own resume.

We'll also map out alternative paths into the industry, because a full-time offer isn't the only way in.
